Ever since Whole Foods started their Growler Station, I have made regular trips to check in on the selection. Whether I stop before or after work, or during lunch, there’s always someone around to talk a little beer with and see what is coming up on draught or grab a taste of what is on tap on the now six taps. My beer guy, Joe, is always on top of what is going and if he is not there, Sara is willing to submit to my questioning and provide a sample or two of the draughts. The service is great and just one of the reasons that I frequent this particular store.
Whole Foods does a great job of hosting events as I am sure some of you have attended the 5×7 events. For those of you that do not know, 5×7 is a tasting held on Friday nights from 5pm – 7pm. It is $5 to participate. With the entry fee, you are given a wine glass, which is yours to keep, as you are sent off into the store to sample five dishes paired with five beverages (wine and beer). The events also have live local music performed near the Osteria. If you have ever stopped in on a Friday after work, this is what all of the activity and excitement in the store is about.
Now, Whole Foods is getting even more into the “beer thing” and hosting a Beer Dinner at the Osteria. Rich Sinclair of The Brew Kettle is going to be in on Monday, November 7th with beer pairings for five courses. The food, prepared by Chef Eric Colby, will be a twist on traditional Thanksgiving offerings. The brews, we are told, will be seasonal offerings from The Brew Kettle.

So, how would you like to win seats for two at this dinner? Do you like The Brew Kettle, Whole Foods and all that they offer? Do you use Untappd? Of course you can enter by commenting on this post, but if you want to double your entries, just head into Whole Foods at Cedar Center, sample one (or more) of their beers on tap at the growler station and check it into Untappd between now and November 3, 2011 at 12pm. Each checkin counts as two entries to win. Your Untappd account must be public for us to track your entries. If you do not have an Untappd account yet, sign up for one and download the mobile app. It is a fun way to share what you are drinking without always bothering your non-beer loving twitter followers. Don’t forget to follow us. Good luck.

I thought doing this little scavenger hunt to check-in beers on untappd to enter is something different. Plus you have the added bonus of drinking the beer! Cheers.
