All that I am asking for is an answer to a simple question…
What Beer/Brewery are you most looking forward to sampling at the event?
There was a lot of skepticism after news of this event surfaced back in the Winter and very little detail was given, however it looks like the organizers have pulled together a pretty impressive list of breweries and beers to sample. They will, indeed have some of the big boys there, but the overwhelming number of craft selections are great. Afterall, how many beers can one sample in one session? Another pull is some of the Brew U talks on the schedule. Speakers include Chris Staten, Beer Editor for DRAFT Magazine; The Greenhouse Tavern‘s own, Chef Brian Goodman; Brian Seelinger, The Brew Mentor; Tim Rastetter, Thirsty Dog and Luke Purcell, Great Lakes Brewing Company; Rick Seibt, Fred Karm from Hoppin Frog, Willoughby Brewing Company; Dave Clark of the Society for Northeast Ohio Brewers (SNOBS).
As far as the beer goes, I have a few items on my “to do” list including the Hoppin Frog Café BORIS, Goose Island Big John, Fat Head’s Cask: Double Dry-Hopped Head Hunter IPA, Ithaca 13th Anniversary and Thirsty Dog Barrel-Aged Siberian Night.

She is also the craft beer contributor on the “Lake Effect Show” of WUWM, the public radio affiliate in Milwaukee.”
“Educational programming abounds at “Brew U,” where beer-centric demonstrations and discussions presented by Ohio brewers will highlight trends in beer styles, food pairings, regional developments and sustainable brewing. Attendees can look forward to sampling fantastic beers while gaining valuable knowledge on the latest trends in brewing techniques.”
VIP Brewers Lounge
“The VIP Brewers Lounge, for pass-holders of the VIP exBEERience, will offer tappings of limited edition beers not available on the main floor as well as the opportunity to meet and mingle with renowned brewers. The “White Labs Challenge” is a can’t miss event, featuring regional brewers—Thirsty Dog, Willoughby, The Brew Kettle and Buckeye—who were challenged by White Labs founder Chris White to create beers specially for International Beer Fest.”
