Amanda Montague of Lilly Handmade Chocolate fame, was so tired after painstakingly making all of the chocolates for BREWzilla that she could not think of a name for her concoction. So she ran a twitter contest on Saturday just before BREWzilla. She tweeted:
“READY!GO! First person to tweet a kick@$$ name for our special GLBC Blackout Stout Truffle for BREWzilla tonite, gets a special treat!”
I responded with CHOCzilla! It seemed like a logical name. Well, it turns out it was the winner. She told me to stop by and claim my prize. So I drove over to the Tremont Chocolatier’s shop and was pleasantly surprised when she presented me with two large chocolate bars. One was the Great Lakes Brewing Co.’s Blackout Stout and the other made with Great Lakes Christmas Ale. These were two of her chocolates that were at BREWzilla, however, I did not get the chance to taste them then. I will get the pleasure of having these little tasty nuggets.
It was nice to stop in and talk to Amanda, her husband Joshua, and Chuck McCandlish from Cavalier Distributing for a little bit. Chuck was in making a deliver of a few new arrivals including Breckenridge Christmas Ale.
